![]() ![]() Unless you only like MR for that CD gimmick or somethingĮdit: Updated review for the major update. So tldr: if you think something like Monster Rancher might make a good Roguelike, or you didnt like the empahsis on grinding in monster rancher, theres a fair chance you'll like this game. Also my time of 13.9hrs is pretty much how long it too me to 100% the game, but it would have been longer if I was less familair with monster rancher. The fact its a roguelike means you aren't grinding and farming the way you would in MR2, fusion and train spamming monsters, you're trying to get stats and powers ups ASAP and thats actually more strategic. ![]() Thank you once again for your support and for enjoying the game!So its a pretty clear knockoff of Monster Rancher turned into a somewhat simplified roguelike with cute monster girls standing in for breeds from monster ranches (i.e Shiba Inus are blatantl derived from Tigers and have the same lightning moves, the whales are obviously inspired by Zillas, the slimes share several moves with Jells etc).īut honestly as someone who was massively nostalgic for monster rancher 2, then tried to play it recently and was like "I aint got time for that shit", I liked this game a lot. We have already created a playable demo that offers a taste of what's to come. On the other hand, the development of the new game is going well. However, it's worth noting that some artifacts in the game can increase the number of gems you receive upon completion, so keep an eye out for those.Īs for the sequel, it's still in the conceptual stage, and it will likely be a few years before it's ready to be released. Regarding the gem system, typically you receive an amount of gems equal to one-fourth of your score upon completing a level. ![]() Thank you in advance Thank you for your message! I'm glad to hear that you're enjoying the game. I have read the discussion regarding updates, and I am happy to see that there will be a sequel and a new game :) How is that going along? Is this true or is there a system behind it? As sometimes with lesser successful runs on normal I got 1k gems and more successful runs on higher difficulty i mostly get 200 gems. I was wondering about the gem system and what influences the amount you get.
